Mrs. Eastridge & Mr. Marciano, Camp Directors
Jessica Eastridge graduated from the University of South Carolina in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Music with emphasis in Music Education. In 2010, Mrs. Eastridge accepted a part-time position at CC Pinckney Elementary School as the beginning band instructor. She successfully instructed students in beginning instrumental music while increasing participation in the program, maintaining and expanding the instrument and music inventory, and programming bi-annual performances. In the spring of 2011, she was awarded the United States Army Commanders Coin for excellence in service to the school community.
In the summer of 2011, Mrs. Eastridge accepted a full-time position as the band director at Hutto Middle School in Bainbridge, Georgia. At Hutto, Mrs. Eastridge instructed a diverse population of students. Her daily teaching duties included beginning and intermediate band classes, ranging in size from 25 to 75 students per class. During her tenure at Hutto Middle School, Mrs. Eastridge programmed and conducted the Hutto Middle School Concert Band at the Georgia Bandmaster’s Association concert festival, where the students earned a superior rating.
In 2015, Jessica Eastridge completed her Master of Music degree, with emphasis in teaching, from the University of Delaware. While attending graduate school, Mrs. Eastridge worked as a teaching assistant in the Music Education department. As a teaching assistant, Mrs. Eastridge assisted professors in teaching upper level undergraduate courses and instructed of an overview course in the practical application of beginning instrumental pedagogy and secondary instrument methods and techniques. In addition to her responsibilities as a teaching assistant, Mrs. Eastridge instructed early-childhood music classes and private studio lessons through the Community Music School at the University of Delaware. During her tenure at the University of Delaware, Mrs. Eastridge performed with the University of Delaware Wind Ensemble (clarinet) and Delaware Steel (double seconds - steel pan). Mrs. Eastridge toured with Delaware Steel in Spring 2014 in Vienna, Austria.
In October 2014, Jessica Eastridge co-presented at the Delaware Music Education Day on the use of informances in the music curriculum. In 2015, she presented her research, High School Students’ Musical Achievement and Improvisation on the Steel Drum, at the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania, the National Association for Music Education Eastern Division Conference in Providence, Rhode Island, the International Research in Music Education Conference in Exeter, England, and the Gordon Institute for Music Learning Bi-Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, Mrs. Eastridge co-presented two research-to-practice sessions on functional piano and improvisation at the 2015 International Research in Music Education Conference. During the 2016-2017 school year, Mrs. Eastridge co-presented a session at the Virginia Music Educator's Conference and the South Carolina Music Educator's Conference titled iCreate: Utilizing iPad Technology to Generate Creativity in Instrumental Music. Mrs. Eastridge's current research, A Comparison of Virginia Band Performance Assessments in Relation to Director Gender, was accepted to the 2018 Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Conference.
Mrs. Eastridge currently teaches Band 6 Woodwinds, Band 6 Percussion, Band 6 High Brass, Band 7 Woodwinds, Band 7 Percussion, Band 8, and Potomac Pans at River Bend Middle School. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Eastridge serves on the National Membership Commission for the Gordon Institute for Music Learning. Mrs. Eastridge is also a member of the National Association for Music Education, Virginia Music Educators Association, Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association, and Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority. This summer will mark Mrs. Eastridge's fourth year with Potomac Falls Summer Band Academy.
Terence Blum-Marciano teaches instrumental music at River Bend Middle School. Mr. Marciano has earned an undergraduate degree from Ithaca College and a Master's from Shenandoah University. Mr. Marciano performs regularly with his band, Someone to Ride the River With. Mr. Marciano lives in Winchester with his wife, Jamie, and two dogs, Hank and Fred.
Mr. Marciano currently teaches Band 6 Brass, Band 7 Brass, Band 8, Percussion, and Jazz Band at River Bend Middle School. Mr. Maricano is a member of the Gordon Institute for Music Learning, the National Association for Music Education, Virginia Music Educators Association, and Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association. This is Mr. Marciano's second summer with Potomac Falls Summer Band Academy.

Mrs. Kocur teaches lessons at The Catoctin School of Music in Leesburg and also teaches flute master classes and flute choir rehearsals at area schools. Mrs. Kocur performs regularly with the Manassas Symphony and the American Festival Pops. She is a frequent church soloist, and plays chamber music whenever possible! In May 2016, Yvonne was a member of the National Wind Ensemble, which performed in Carnegie Hall.

Jared Eastridge earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Performance Certificate from the University of South Carolina as well as a Master of Music in clarinet performance from Florida State University. He also holds a certificate in instrumental learning, level 1, from the Gordon Institute of Music Learning. Mr. Eastridge currently teaches private and group clarinet and saxophone lessons in Loudoun County. Mr. Eastridge is also substitute clarinetist with the Loudoun Symphony. In the classroom and in private lessons, Mr. Eastridge has established a differentiated curriculum rooted in creativity, life-long musicianship, and real-world musical experiences through improvisation, composition, technology, and performance. Mr. Eastridge lives in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife, Jessica, son, Samuel, and two dogs, Sadie and Fannie.
Saxophone: Ted Hasko
A Catholic University of America grad, Mr. Hasko currently runs his own private music studio in Sterling, VA teaching over 60 students clarinet, sax and flute. In addition to his private teaching he also conducts master classes and woodwind sectionals in several Loudoun County schools. He has been teaching music for the past 42 years, 10 of those as a band director. Mr. Hasko has played professionally for over 40 years including wind symphonies, chamber groups, dinner theaters, Dixieland and jazz bands, and rock and roll. This is Ted's 8th year teaching with the Potomac Falls Summer Band Academy.
Trumpet: Dorell Fullard
A native of Sumter, South Carolina, Mr. Fullard graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Music, where he studied trumpet and euphonium while receiving his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education. Mr. Fullard also has composed and orchestrated hundreds of original songs and arrangements for various instruments and genres. He has been teaching high school band for the past four years, including Lee Central High School and Whale Branch Early College High School in South Carolina.Horn: Coming soon

Peter Kielar is a versatile percussionist, drum set player, and music instructor. Currently residing in Frederick, Maryland, he teaches instrumental music at Watkins Mill High School for the Montgomery County Public Schools. Over the past year Peter has directed the Watkins Mill High School Competitive Marching Band and performed with the Maryland Band Director's Band. In years past Peter has toured with Delaware Steel in Vienna, Austria for a full week in April 2014. Also he toured with The University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra in Bogota, Columbia, and the University of Delaware Percussion Ensemble in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Peter has a deep knowledge-base on dozens of instruments and in dozens of musical styles. Through his teaching he hopes to provide a methodical and full foundation for any musician to build off of and succeed with in all his or her future endeavors in music
